It’s great to get the team out of the office for a change and talk about things other than work. That’s why we do a monthly social, whether it be a meal out, visiting an exhibition or doing the Crystal Maze for our Xmas do! It’s always fun and a good break from the day-to-day.
For our summer social we decided to head to Rize Festival in Chelmsford for a day of music and good times. It was a sunny day and the perfect way to let our hair down. And with a pretty eclectic lineup, there was something for everyone. Music can be a bit of a controversial topic in the studio and it’s fair to say some of us have very different tastes! Wes was happy watching Craig David, while Owen and Alex preferred some old skool tunes from the Manics and Ash. Elliott was happy to go wherever there was beer!
Everyone had a great day, although Lucy wasn’t too happy about being convinced to go on some of the rides. She was definitely a bit paler than normal when she came off! But we were all raving away to Tom Grennan and dancing to some Oasis classics courtesy of Liam Gallagher. There were some sore heads the next day, but it was definitely worth it.
We’re a tight bunch at 6rs and team wellbeing is very important to us. Socialising together helps to keep morale high and people coming to work with a spring in their step. After all, if you don’t enjoy your job, you’re not going to do it well are you?
