6rs was founded by a bunch of scruffy graphic design students, sitting in a Southend pub in-between (and sometimes during) lectures and planning world domination. We had some skill, a lot of passion and some very questionable fashion choices!
Episode II — The early yearsOperating out of a tiny studio in Leigh-on-Sea, we started to find our feet in the industry and put together a small but perfectly formed client base. Over 14 years later we’re still working with many of those clients.
Episode III — Why the name? Here’s the arty-farty bit! In philosopher Arthur Danto’s book, Transfiguration of the Commonplace, he describes how different works of art could resemble red squares on the surface but all have their own context, inspiration and meaning. And also there were six of us!
Episode IV — Students to award winnersWe moved to our studio in Southend, found some great people to join our merry band and, much to our delight, started to receive industry recognition for our work.
Episode V — Team 6rsToday we are a multi-disciplinary, award-winning creative agency, working with a diverse range of international brands and organisations. Not bad for a bunch of students from Essex University eh!
