Working in partnership with Purple Grape Catering and illustrator Jason Brooks, sixredsquares was tasked with creating a branded experience for a pop-up press event to market the Dare to Bare product line. The event was held at the Imago Art Gallery in Mayfair and required transforming the space in to a branded beauty and ‘boudoir’ experience for prominent members of the press. All outcomes had to follow the existing Revlon brand guidelines and appropriate print and fixing solutions had to be sourced that would not compromise the gallery walls.
Using the Dare to Bare typography style and colour palette, our team created designs that dressed the space in an engaging way. The aim was to brand the space in a consistent and professional way, with quirky features that would make the experience fun and interesting. The pop-up nature of the event meant that it had to be memorable and communicate the brand clearly.
Outcomes included a typographical feature wall and accompanying wall graphics, large-scale product shots and life-size make up props. The illustrations of Jason Brooks were used to decorate the space and incorporated in to functional items such as the screen for the changing area in the boudoir.
Our role in this project was to provide artistic direction and overall creative guidance for the branding of the event space, as well as producing the graphical elements and design. In addition to designing all of the brand elements, the team had to help plan the look of the space and supervise all production and on-site installation.
